Among the famous and popular Hollywood actresses, you can easily find those whose ancestors lived in our country. They include, among others Natalie Portman, Scarlett Johansson if Lisa Kudrow.

Several Polish models (eg Emily Ratajkowski) as well as music stars about Polish ancestors (eg Matt Pokora, Danny Saucedo or Eminem) also gained world fame. Some of them know the history of our country very well and speak Polish very well!

The actress, known for her unforgettable roles in “Leon the professional”, “Star Wars”, “Black Swan” and “Jackie”, has Polish roots. Her paternal grandparents lived in Rzeszów. Natalie Portman visited Poland in 2015. She was then a guest of the organized events in Krakow audiovisual workshops by Sławomir Idziak.

A star known, among others from the show “Handmaid’s Tale” is the daughter of Bożena and Piotr Strzechowski. She was born shortly after her parents immigrated to Australia. She decided to change her name at the urging of her agent, after moving to Hollywood.

Yvonne Strahovski emphasizes that she feels strongly connected with Poland, and what’s more, she speaks our native language very well, which she has proved many times during interviews.
